AUSTRALIA REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE

In June 2007, Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC) opened up a Representative Office in Sydney, Australia.

The Representative Office is confined to the provision of liaison and research services to the Singapore Branch across all its structured and corporate finance activities. The primary objective is to support and grow Singapore Branch’s activities in Australia via a “on the ground” presence that achieves better information flow, a more visible presence and better credit assessment of entities in Australia.

CIC Singapore Branch has been active in the syndicated bank loan and capital markets in Australia since the amendments to the withholding tax legislation under Section 128F of the Income Tax Act were put in place opening the market to international financial institutions.
