CIC arranges and structures financing for major airlines and aircraft leasing companies in Asia Pacific. The team in Singapore has in-depth knowledge and expertise in all aspects of aviation financing and works closely with the Asset Finance & Securitisation team in Paris to provide our clients with a wide range of products and services. In December 2015, CIC closed a USD 160 million refinancing deal of used aircrafts on lease to Korean Airlines Co. This transaction involves a total of 10 used aircrafts of which 5 have been financed by CIC since 2012.
Shipping & Offshore Finance
CIC specialises in the financing of shipping and offshore assets and container boxes, providing senior secured debt, limited and non-resource financing and French tax leases. Leveraging on the experience and global expertise of the Asset Finance & Securitisation team in Paris, the Shipping desk in Singapore started in 2003, covering the Asia Pacific region in key active markets such as Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea and Japan.

Marine Money Deal of the Year 2016
In 2016, CIC was awarded the Marine Money Deal of the Year Bank Debt – East, for a $684.5 million non-recourse senior secured loan to refinance BW Gas JuJu LNG Ltd ’s existing fleet of eight LNG carriers, deployed under long-term charter to Nigeria LNG to transport LNG from West Africa.

Aquasure Desalination Plant
Aquasure Desalination Plant is a seawater desalination plant in Victoria, Australia. Completed in 2012, the Plant is capable of producing 150-GL (gigalitres) of fresh water per year. CIC has been a long-standing client to the Plant since 2009. CIC was recently awarded the IJGLobal Asia-Pacific Refinancing Deal of the Year 2017 for its ongoing support in the financing of the Plant.
Melbourne Metro Tunnel
The Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project, one of the largest transport infrastructure projects undertaken in Australia, comprises the construction of two new 9-km rail tunnels through the heart of Melbourne along with five new underground stations. The twin-tunnels will transform Melbourne’s rail network into an international-style metro system, improving connectivity with the central business district (CBD) and key growth areas. CIC was awarded the IJGlobal Asia-Pacific Transport Deal of the Year 2017 and PFI Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Deal of the Year 2017 for its Mandated Lead Arranger role in the Project.
The Acquisition Finance team in Singapore started in 2003 and is part of a global team with offices in Paris, New York, London and Singapore. CIC offers strategic solutions and financing to companies with business plans to make an acquisition, effect a buy-out or to finance a dividend recapitalisation.

CIC was a co-arranger of a highly successful transaction; A$1.96 billion syndicated loan facilities to finance the merger of TPG Telecom with iiNet in August 2015. This was a multi-tranche and stand-by bridge facility which created the merged entity and Australia’s second largest internet service provider.
